RS Scaffolding are looking for an experienced part-time Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join our friendly office team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, hands-on environment and has knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for site operatives and office staff using Sage Payroll
- Manage employee records including starters, leavers, holidays, and absences
- Process PAYE, pensions, and HMRC submissions
- Input and reconcile purchase invoices, sales invoices, and bank accounts
- Support with VAT returns, journals, and month-end reporting
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and staff regarding payroll and accounts queries
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance Manager and wider team
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in payroll and bookkeeping
- Proficient in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confident with Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team
Desirable Qualifications
- AAT qualification (or working towards)
- Experience preparing VAT returns
